Clinically Proven Results

In an early clinical study, Dr. Zoltan Nagy of Semmelweis University in Budapest evaluated LenSx's ability to create lens fragmentation, perform anterior capsulotomy and create self-sealing corneal incisions.1 In the study Dr. Nagy was able to demonstrate that:

  • Lens fragmentation with the LenSx® Laser significantly reduced average phaco power when compared to traditional, manual technique1
  • All anterior capsulotomies created with the LenSx Laser achieved perfect centration and exact intended diameter, with no radial tears or adverse events seen. In the same study, only 10% of manually created capsulorhexis achieved a similar diameter accuracy of +/-0.25 mm1,2
